WELCOME TO HONEYCOMBE HOUSE!

                  enquiries@honeycombehouse.co.uk   Tel: 07928 028629

Honeycombe House Bed and Breakfast is a traditional, exclusive bed and breakfast establishment, set in a Victorian house situated a few minutes’ walk from the centre of the 14th Century picturesque working fishing village of Mevagissey. We aim to treat our guests as we would like treated on a special holiday, with care and an attention to detail.

It is situated near the top of Polkirt Hill enjoying the most stunning views over both the inner and outer harbours of the village and miles of Cornish coastline.

Visitors to Mevagissey can explore the narrow streets leading off the harbour, visit the many gift and craft shops and art galleries, or seek refreshment in the numerous cafes, restaurants and pubs.

Mevagissey is also home to the famous ‘World of Model Railways’ exhibition, along with a museum and small aquarium.

You can sit and relax around the harbour and watch the fishermen at work on the quay, and both fishing trips and small pleasure boats are available in order for you to explore the bay during spring and summer months.

A passenger ferry runs to and from Fowey between May and September, from which many of our guests have been lucky enough to see basking sharks, dolphins and seals.

Honeycombe House is ideally situated to visit the Lost Gardens of Heligan, a couple of minutes away by car, or the Eden Project which is only 9 miles away, and the new National Maritime Museum at Falmouth is only 30 miles away.

Mevagissey is an ideal base from which to explore the numerous delights of Cornwall.

You may even prefer to find a nearby beach or stroll along the South West Coast Path which passes the house. A section of the National Cycle Network runs in front of Honeycombe House, and we have secure storage for bikes.

There is full central heating, a comfortable sitting room, and breakfast is served in the conservatory – which must have one of the best views in Cornwall, overlooking both the inner and outer harbours, miles of coastline and St. Austell bay.

"It’s a stiff walk uphill to this sweet B&B, but the super outlook is worth the effort. Creamy walls and light pine define the rooms; if you're a view-junky make sure you ask for Victoria or Albert, which both have great balconies overlooking the harbour and Mevagissey Bay." Lonely Planet 2008
